GOALS AND ACTIVITIES
During the year of 2007-2008 our club will strive to do the following:
MEMBERSHIP
1) Grow our club to an active membership of 110
2) Recruit specific classifications now missing from our roster
3) Provide each new member with a meaningful orientation into Rotary
4) Complete the classification survey
5) Utilize all past presidents to mentor a small group of old and new members
6) Improve retention through small groups, a buddy system and sponsor contact
ROTARY FOUNDATION
1) Support the Rotary Foundation by giving $100 per member this year.
2) Create a Society of Paul Harris Fellows within our club
3) Host a Foundation dinner to orient and challenge our members for support
4) Utilize all Paul Harris Fellows to act as hosts for this dinner
5) Apply for at least one grant from the Rotary Foundation
CLUB SERVICE
1) Conduct a golf outing to fund our scholarships
2) Conduct a raffle to fund our Hospice commitment
3) Conduct a concert to raise funds for Hospice
4) Begin a new fund-raiser to support the expansion of the Veterans Memorial
5) Organize groups of members under the leadership of past presidents.
6) Assist the Rotaract Club at NKU to grow
INTERNATIONAL SERVICE
1) Continue to work with the needs in Tanzania
2) Continue the effort to complete the Polio Plus Program
3) Work with Ed Colina, last year’s Citizen of Year, in Africa
4) Participate in a Group Study exchange
5) Lay the groundwork for hosting an exchange student in 2008
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
1) Continue the Reds outing
2) Continue to have at least one family social activity
COMMUNITY SERVICE
1) Continue the Citizen of The Year Program (attach a monetary award)
2) Continue the Florence Rotary Heritage Award
3) Complete our pledge to raise $30,000 for the new Hospice Center.
4) Partner with Ryle High School
5) Partner with ATO at Northern Kentucky University
6) Continue our involvement with the Florence Y’All Festival
7) Continue the Heritage Hall of Fame
8) Continue the scholarship, speech and essay competitions
